Meeting of the President of the Regional Council, Dino Latini, with the Ambassador of Tanzania to Italy, Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, for three days in the Marche with a rich program of initiatives and visits to some companies.
For the appointment at Palazzo delle Marche he was accompanied not only by his staff, but also by Michelangelo Chiurchiù, President of the NGO “Solidarity Community in the World”, which has been operating in Tanzania for many years.
“It is an important occasion – underlined Latini – which allows us to strengthen the bonds of friendship between our countries. We must find the way to realize this same bond bilaterally, through specific protocols, initiatives and interventions, including legislative ones “
Referring to his first visits to companies in the Marche region, the Ambassador, former minister in his country, highlighted that he had found great potential. “Tanzania – he added – is developing and the medium size of your companies, the way you work, represent a valid example for us. It is obvious that there is a lot to intervene precisely on the legislative level and, in this direction, a comparison between our Assemblies is desirable “.
On the part of the President and the Ambassador also the reference to the intervention carried out by “Solidarity communities in the world”, which in 2021 obtained the “Feltrinelli Prize” from the Accademia dei Lincei for the law enforcement action, carried out precisely in Tanzania , against epilepsy. In fact, in the African country, the organization operates in the field of problems related to disability and has already provided for the construction of some rehabilitation centers. “The citizens of the Marche region – concluded the Ambassador – are formidable, silent, but with a lot to offer”.
President Latini also brought greetings from the President of the Marche Region, Francesco Acquaroli, and from the entire regional council.
